The State of Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) Public Affairs Office believes in a mutually beneficial and responsible partnership with the media. There is one full-time Public Affairs Officer who responds to all media and public records requests.

Calling AZDOHS
For media inquiries during business hours between Monday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., call 602-542-1713. If we are unable to answer the phone immediately, please leave a voice mail message so that we can return your call as early as we can.

Visiting AZDOHS
Most inquiries that our office is able to fulfill are related to the financial management of homeland security grants. If you have an issue other than this or are looking for the federal Department of Homeland Security, please see below under the Referral section or our FAQ page.

Our regular office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m. excluding State holidays.

In order to assist you, please let us know of your arrival by using the telephone and directory in our lobby. The office is located at the State Capitol, Executive Tower, 1700 W. Washington Street, 2nd Floor, in downtown Phoenix.

Public parking is available on the northeast corner of 19th Avenue and Washington Street. Everyone entering the building is subject to personal search and screening, including the use of x-ray machines for packages, bags and belongings and metal detector screening.

Referrals
AZDOHS has the primary function of administering homeland security grant funds on behalf of the State of Arizona. Note that this office is not part of the federal government.
